About Seva Group

A registered NGO rooted in Noida, UP — transforming lives through compassionate, sustainable programmes since 2018.

Our Story

From One Kitchen to a Community Movement

Seva Group was established in 2018 by a group of neighbours in Noida Extension who noticed that dozens of children in their locality were going to school hungry. What began as a weekly home-cooked meal drive quickly grew into something far larger.

By 2019 we had served our first formal food camp — 500 meals in a single day. By 2020 we launched our first orphanage support programme, reaching 40 children. The scale kept growing as more volunteers joined and local businesses began contributing.

Today Seva Group serves 840+ children and families across orphan care, elder support, education, healthcare, and environmental initiatives — with every rupee publicly accounted for.

Seva Group — Our Story

“Seva is not charity — it is kinship.”

Our Focus Groups

The Children We Serve

Beyond the label of “orphan” — four specific groups the system tends to overlook.

Semi-Orphans

Children who lost one parent — the surviving parent struggles to provide basics. Often unsupervised, at risk of dropping out of school.

How we help

  • Daily meals and nutritious food
  • After-school tutoring
  • Grief counselling and emotional support
  • School fees and uniform support

Accidental Orphans

Children whose parents died in road or workplace accidents. They face sudden poverty and psychological trauma with no time to prepare.

How we help

  • Emergency shelter within 72 hours
  • Trauma counselling and therapy
  • Full education and nutrition support
  • Long-term guardianship assistance

Children of Cancer-Affected Parents

When a parent is diagnosed with cancer, families exhaust savings on treatment. Children are pulled from school — invisible victims of a devastating illness.

How we help

  • School fees during parent's treatment
  • Free tutoring and daily meals
  • Psychological counselling
  • Family financial emergency support

Children from Prisoner Families

When a parent goes to prison, children face stigma, economic crisis, and social isolation. Society should not punish the child for the parent's actions.

How we help

  • Confidential enrolment — no stigma
  • Education and uniform support
  • Mentorship from trained social workers
  • Safe after-school environment
